Bereavement Support

This service is available to anyone who has lost someone close to them through death, whilst under the care of The Shakespeare Hospice or another hospice service.

Confidential Bereavement Support is offered by trained staff and volunteers, with sessions taking place either in the home environment or at the Hospice in Shottery. The usual length of each conversation is 1 hour, though the first meeting can be longer.

All our Bereavement Workers have been specifically selected and trained for the role, with each receiving ongoing supervision and continued professional development training from The Shakespeare Hospice.

The Bereavement Support Service is part of The Shakespeare Hospice's Family Support Service.

If you would like to find out more please contact Cristina Hands (Adult Counselling and Bereavement Support Service Co-ordinator) on 01789 266852 or email chands@theshakespearehospice.org.uk.
