The Great Shakespeare Ride 2020

23 August 2020

Due to the current Covid-19 outbreak, The Great Shakespeare Ride 2020 is currently under review. Please keep checking back for updates and news. We thank you for your patience and understanding in this difficult time.

The Great Shakespeare Ride IS BACK for its 10th year - on 23rd August 2020!

The Great Shakespeare Ride starts at Walton Hall Hotel and Spa near Warwick and rolls out through South Warwickshire villages and into the heart of the North Cotswolds, right down to Stow-on-the-Wold (100 mile Sportive).

It really does offer something for cyclists of all abilities. The challenging ‘100 mile Sportive‘ will take you to your limit, while the ‘100 km Challenge‘ is a tough undulating route, but definitely achievable.

New for 2020, and in celebration of The Shakespeare Hospice’s 21st Anniversary is a ‘Friendly 21 mile‘ special Anniversary Ride – a beautiful, flatter route along quiet roads and the perfect choice for those new to cycling or who want to celebrate with us – perfect for those supporters looking for a ‘21 Challenge‘.

Here are some quotes from previous years -

"I have ridden in lots of similar events & this one was very efficiently organised. The massage at the end was an added bonus & great idea before sitting in a car for a few hours. The WI support was also appreciated"

"The Marshalls, feed station and signage was exceptionally. Well done everyone concerned. A great event."

"Great event with superb and friendly organisation!"

We would love you to come along with your team mates, cycling pals, friends and family to enjoy a day of cycling across rolling hills through the beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
