Children & Young People Service - Preparing Children for a Return to School

Friday 05 June 2020

We are thinking this week about children who may be returning to school. Even though school can be a place of security and provide a familiar routine, when this is disrupted it can be very unsettling, particularly for children and young people who have been bereaved. Going back to school may be a period of change and uncertainty.

Here’s a link to a useful resource from Winston’s Wish about preparing children who are going back to school.

Although we are not operating in the usual way during these uncertain times, we are still here to help and support should we be needed. We also continue to take new referrals, if you would like to make a referral please call 01789 266852 or visit https://www.theshakespearehospice.org.uk/childrensbereavementhowtorefer.
