Dying Matters Awareness week and Open day

Wednesday 01 May 2019

Dying Matters Awareness Week challenges us to answer the question: "Are We Ready?"

Are We Ready for our own death? Or the death of those we care about?

For many of us, the answer will not be 'yes'. According to research, people haven't taken care of the practical aspects - organ donation, planning future care, funeral planning, wills. And even those who are practically prepared, the emotional aspect of being ready for death is challenging.

The Shakespeare Hospice is here to support you to have those difficult conversations.

Community Hospice Open Day - Friday 17th May

These questions might provoke other questions - have you ever been to a hospice? What does a hospice do? What can a hospice do for me? Why not come and visit us and see for yourself...you might be surprised! Whether you need us tomorrow or in 10 years time, we will be right here for you!

Come and meet us on Friday 17th May from 2pm - 6pm. The Shakespeare Hospice are throwing open their doors and inviting the local community into their hospice to come and have a look around!

If you have any questions, or would like to find out more please contact 01789 266852 or email fundraising@theshakespearehospice.org.uk
