Shakespeare Moves in to Moreton in Marsh

Shakespeare Moves In to Moreton in Marsh!

The Shakespeare Hospice is delighted to announce that it is opening a new furniture store at Unit 12, Fosseway Business Park, Stratford Road, Moreton in Marsh, on 10 March 2018.

The new store is now accepting donations of high-end, pre-loved furniture, in readiness for opening its doors on 10 March.  The Hospice will collect large items from within a radius of 10 miles, and anyone with something to donate, small or large, is asked to call 01608 654415 or email:

The Hospice is also looking for volunteers to help at the store, so if anyone would like to learn new skills or get some valuable work experience, they are asked to please email:

Tracy Holdback, Retail Manager at The Shakespeare Hospice, said: “We already have seven Shakespeare Hospice shops in the areas covered by our clinical staff; our Hospice at Home nurses support families in the Moreton area, and our Day Hospice is available to people here, it was a natural decision to open a store in the area. Our other furniture stores, in Stratford and Kenilworth, have proved extremely popular, and we are hoping that local folk will support us by donating unwanted furniture and by visiting the new store to see what’s on offer.”

The Shakespeare Hospice provides palliative and supportive care to over 1000 patients and their families across South Warwickshire and the North Cotswolds, including Moreton in Marsh.

Its core services are Day Hospice, Hospice at Home, Counselling and Family Support, and a unique Children and Young People’s Services, which supports bereaved children, young carers, and Transitional Care for 16-24 year olds with a life limiting illness. As the Hospice’s services are free of charge, and it only receives 8% towards its funding from the NHS, it relies on continued corporate and community support, which is critical to its survival.

Your donations or gift will be used wisely; for example, £100 will pay for two visits by Hospice at Home nurses to provide end of life care to patients in their own homes or one nurse on call overnight to support patients choosing to die at home.  Hospice at Home are a team of registered nurses and healthcare assistants with specialist training in palliative and end of life care. On call 24 hours a day, our team supports patients and their families in their home so they can remain with the people who are most dear to them.
