The Shakespeare Hospice is delighted to announce that Sir Peter Rigby has now become its Patron.    

Sir Peter Rigby is a very successful businessman and entrepreneur, and Chairman and Chief Executive of The Rigby Group Plc. Sir Peter is passionate about hospice care and he has been involved in the hospice movement for some years.  His charitable foundation has been very generous towards The Shakespeare Hospice during the past 7 years.

Sir Peter Rigby said: “I am honoured to become the Patron of The Shakespeare Hospice. This local charity has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality services, anyone who lives here has heard of it, and knows of the great work they do. Together, we can continue to raise awareness of their invaluable services, and raise much needed funds towards the care of their patients and families.”

Angie Arnold, Chief Executive of The Shakespeare Hospice said: “We would like to thank Sir Peter for taking on the role of Patron here at The Shakespeare Hospice. We are very appreciative of the support of such a well-respected and community-minded businessman and very much look forward to working with Sir Peter.” 

The Shakespeare Hospice is working closely with the new Rigby Unit to develop support services for cancer patients.   Counselling and Complimentary Therapy services will be provided by the Hospice in to the new Stratford Hospital to enhance the well-being of cancer patients.



Family Support

Our Family Support Services include Children and Family Support Service, Bereavement Support, Counselling, Chaplaincy and Social Work Service.
