Skydiving for the Hospice
17 fantastic supporters have jumped out of a plane in the last year in support of the Hospice.
Staff from Johnsons Coaches (above), Cooper Solutions and CAB Studios, as well as local individuals, took to the skies and jumped over 10,000 feet.
One of the skydivers was Gladys, who was motivated to jump after her son told her “I’ll sponsor you not to do it”!
After the jump, she told us “the view was amazing. It was just a wonderful experience, I would definitely do it again.”
Gladys’ husband was cared for by the Hospice at Home team, and she came to the Hospice as a bereaved carer. After being a part of the first bereavement group at the Hospice, she and friends from the group have made their own breakaway group. Meeting once a month for a cup of tea and a chat, they also support the Diversional Therapy table at Hospice fetes with their handmade creations.
Could you take the plunge?
If you would like to race through the air in aid of your local Hospice we have various dates throughout the year – check the Events Calendar or get in touch with the fundraising team on 01789 266852.
