Hundreds took part in a colour run for the Hospice.
Hundreds of runners were showered in colour during a fun run last weekend (Sunday 28th September).
Nearly 400 people took part in The Shakespeare Hospice Colour Blast where they were showered with explosions of powder paint throughout the 5k route.
Everyone taking part started off in white shirts before going through colour stations of blue, red, green, pink and yellow – ending up like a human rainbow! They finished with their own pack of paint at the end to have fun in a huge paint party, spreading the colour fun even further.
Organiser Lily Sutton is thrilled the run went so well, “It was our first Colour Blast and it was fantastic to see so many local people taking part. I want to say a big thank you to all the runners and volunteers who helped make it happen.”
Lily also thanked Meon Vale for donating the space for the event and organising the route, and Integrated Scaffolding for their help.
Meon Vale Leisure Centre Manager James Freeman said "It was great to see such an exciting event taking place at the new Leisure Centre and there was a really good atmosphere. We are really pleased to have been able to support The Shakespeare Hospice Colour Blast while also giving lots of new people the opportunity to see our new facility.”
