In the Saddle for The Shakespeare Hospice
Tuesday 26 August 2014
Cycling fever took over Stratford once again on Sunday 17th August as people got on their bikes for the 2014 Great Shakespeare Ride.
Over 500 cyclists set off from Stratford Manor Hotel, cycling 40 miles, 100 km or 100 miles around the Warwickshire and Cotswolds countryside in aid of The Shakespeare Hospice.
Lily Sutton, an event organiser, said the event had been a great success: “It was a fantastic day. The atmosphere was amazing and we had some fantastic cyclists really challenging themselves on the hill climbs. Thank you to everyone who took part and volunteered, and see you next year!”
Lily also thanked those who supported the event, including main sponsor Taylor Wimpey and Stratford Manor Hotel.
